"comment": "In the latest phase of the grill buildings, end scrapers, burins, and continuously retouched tools decrease in number. The major change, however, is inthe morphology of the tools. Byblos points and highly standardized double-backed obsidian blades appear. Different types of points increase. Increase in the side retouches of the non-formal tools reflects a more flexible attitude in chipped stone tools production. The industry mainly depended on flint, with good quality flints being used to obtain thin flat blades. The most important development is the making of special function tools from obsidian, using a pressure flaking technique, which first appears in the Cayönü Channeled Building Subphase and is used both on obsidian and on local and imported flint. The distribution of the \"Cayönü tool\" that first appears in this subphase, documents the relationships of Cayönü being more with the Zagros sites, than with the Euphrates sites. ",
