Comment The closed vessel forms (coarse ware) had flat bases and vertical strap handles, plastic lugs, one vessel had a plastic ear and a plastic rib. They are connected to the pottery forms in Knossos Stratum V. They often had dark surfaces on the inside. Most of the pottery dates into the later Early Neolithic I (Knossos Stratum V), only a few into Early Neolithic II (Knossos Stratum IV). The pottery seems to have been produced locally.
