Comment The pottery was monochrome, burnished or polished. Plastic decoration in form of three humps occurred, spool-like miniature handles were attached at the break point of biconical vessels, ledge-lugs were attached at the rim; punched decoration occurred. The clay came from the vicinity of Knossos, but also from places about 70 km away. Very few vessels could have been imported from the Cyclades or the Anatolian Mainland. The pottery was calcareous or lime-deficient and had a big variety in tempering materials.
