Comment 13 obsidian artifacts were found in the layers 38-35 (stratum IX-VI), so they could be dated into the Middle- or Late Neolithic I (Tomkins; or into the Early Neolithic according to Evans). The obsidian comes from the Adamas- and Demenegaki-deposit on Melos. Typologically, they cannot be compared to the mainland blade-industry or the Near Eastern complicated type of tools.
