Comment Characteristic ground stone artefacts include polished stone bowls, sculpted pestles, and mace heads, all represented by fragmentary examples and made of the same chloritic stone as the examples from the former site. The decorative motifs of the stone bowl fragments are indistinguishable from those found on the those found on the stone bowls from Hallan Cemi. Polished stone shaft straightneres, also typically made of chloritic stone, are also present at Demirköy, however in a sub-rectangular form. They are typically decorated with deeply incised line and chevron patterns. Bone artifacts show the same continuity with Hallan Cemi is also evident in the bone artifacts from Demirköy. No examples of bone artifacts that would qualify as representational art were found. The distincitve elongated bone "buttons" also occur at Demirköy.
