Description This site lies in the Konya Plain and is about 9,5 km away from Çatalhöyük. It was discovered in 2001 during the Konya Plain Survey Project. The höyük lies 2 m above the current plain level and covers an area of over 1 ha. The site had been established on a marl rise (--> advantages like view over the plain) in marshy surroundings in the Early Holocene. It spans the 9th and 8th millennia cal. BC (PPNB). There also were later burials, probably Byzantinic. Lithics and decorated stone artifacts were revealed, e.g. microlith-dominant assemblages.
