Description | Two rectangular rooms were found on the north-western edge of the excavation-area. Maybe some curvilinear walls also belonged to this period, but according to Papadatos 2008 they were from a later settlement-period between Final Neolithic IV and Early Minoan IA. Also, there were traces of metallurgical activities. Copper wire and slag from deeper fillings prove the extraction of copper ore as early as the Final Neolithic. Although the provenience of the copper is not clear, it could be local copper. |
