Comment | Gifts at BM2b included a fancy boar's tusk. Among the burnt human skulls from the middle room in BM2a "some animal bones" were found. Within the Skull Building the presence of an aurochs skull with horns, on the wall facing the courtyard is an indication of a bull cult related to the ancestor cult. Cobble Paved Building Subphase (cp3): most of the graves are provided with various types of gifts (...), sometimes also food items (meat and plants). In building CX, the gift for the female lying with her infan is only two legs of meat. A boar's lower jaw with tusks still in it had been carefully placed onto the sieved earth fill at about 30cm above the two burials, in one of the cells of CX. |
