Description | Most of the architectural remains were clay structures. In the centre of the mound a "complex area" with vases half sunk into a plaster floor was found. It was encircled by a post-framed clay wall. The complex points to some kind of storage facility, maybe a communal storeroom complex. The three Neolithic burials were found beneath a house-floor. They were in a contracted position with the hands near the face and a flat stone resting on their neck. According to Efstratiou they are the only example of Neolithic burials found in Northeastern Greece. |
