| Comment | lots of goat/sheep, rarely adult rams, mostly female animals and few youngs--> that indicates that there was no intensive wool-, and milk-production, and therefore mostly meat production. Cattle (female) used as draft animals --> draft animals maybe boosted the growth of the settlement and could be related to the growth of the population (make survival in settlements easier); All the domesticated animals were originally imported to Crete. Mollusks played only a minor part in the diet; Patella was eaten. |
