Comment | Although diet is still dependet mostly on wild game, in the Channeled Building Subphase it is definite that pigs were kept within the settlement; in fact, there is evidence that the process of the domestication of pigs goes back to the beginning of this stage. According to Hongo the pigs are half wild and half domestic. On the basis of morphological analyses, butchering ages, and collagen isotopes, it is asserted that attempts at domesticating sheep, goat, and cattle started in the Channeled Building Subphase. |
